Erase Bullying Website

Erase Bullying Website

MESSAGE TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS

You may already be aware that the BC provincial government has launched a series of initiatives under the banner of ERASE (Expect Respect and a Safe Education), to address bullying in schools and the community.  Part of this plan includes an online tool that permits individuals to report bullying.  The link to the site is as follows:
https://reportbullyingbc.edudata.ca/apps/bullying/

Students or others can locate this site easily by going to our district website (Saanich School District) or their school website (search school name).

Parents and students can also access important information and resources at:
http://erasebullying.ca/

Saanich Schools will continue to encourage students to report any concerns directly to adults within the school community.  However, this site may be an important option for some individuals, as it does allow for anonymous reporting.  The site will be monitored regularly and reports received will be sent directly to administrators at the school level.

We welcome your input and suggestions as we implement this new program in Saanich.  You will also hear more about teacher training, internet safety workshops and other school safety initiatives in the upcoming months.  We encourage parents to be involved with their school Parent Advisory Council to hear more about ERASE and steps being take to support safe schools and communities.
